After wiring according to the connection diagram, the thermostat starts with the factory settings and starts with the control. In order to use the smart functions of the thermostat, a valid internet connection is required.

Establish Wi-Fi connection

Option A: Via the WPS button on the router (simple and recommended)

The easiest way to integrate the thermostat into your own Wi-Fi network is by using the WPS button on the router. The exchange of access data between the thermostat and the router takes place in the background and no access data has to be provided.

Procedure:

1. Press the WPS button on the router, here using a Fritzbox as an example. The associated LED starts flashing and signals that the WPS teach-in process has been started on the router.
2. Within 2 minutes, the WPS teach-in process must now also be started on the thermostat. To do this, the thermostat must be switched off via the on/off button. In the second step, the "down" button must be pressed for a longer period of time until the thermostat starts automatically. Now the WPS learning process starts and the access data is exchanged in the background.

If the learning process is successful, the thermostat will connect to the Wi-Fi network and show the assigned IP address on the display. It is recommended to remember the IP address shown, as it is needed for further parameterization.
